Your Safety is the Mission
SecDrive gives you tools — but your habits make the difference. Read these guidelines before your first trip.
6 Safety Habits Every Passenger Needs
Always Scan Before You Sit
Make it a habit. Open SecDrive and scan the QR code before the vehicle moves. Verified means the driver's identity and documents have been checked.
Add Real Emergency Contacts
Add people who will actually respond — a parent, sibling, or close friend. Ensure they know you use SecDrive and that they should act if they receive an alert.
Share Your Live Location
Allow SecDrive to send a live tracking link to your contacts at the start of every trip. This is the single most effective deterrent against driver misconduct.
Keep Data Active
Verification and live tracking require a mobile data connection. Keep at least a small data bundle active before boarding any vehicle.
Trust the Warning Screen
If SecDrive shows an 'Unregistered Driver' warning, take it seriously. You can still travel, but inform a contact manually and stay extra alert.
Use the SOS Button
If you feel unsafe at any point, press the SOS button. Your location is immediately sent to your emergency contacts and, if enabled, the nearest police station.
Dos & Don'ts
Always Do
- Scan the QR code every single trip — not just the first time.
- Keep your emergency contacts up to date.
- End your trip in the app when you arrive safely.
- Rate your driver after every journey.
- Report any driver misconduct through the app.
- Sit where you can exit the vehicle quickly if needed.
Never Do
- Do not share your SecDrive login credentials with anyone.
- Do not turn off location permissions while a trip is active.
- Do not ignore the Unregistered Driver warning without informing a contact.
- Do not use headphones while scanning — stay alert.
- Do not accept rides from drivers who refuse to show their QR code.
- Do not board a vehicle with concealed or damaged plates.
